   "Prayer"

Prayer is essential walking with God.
Let me start by sharing with you the accomplishments of holy prayer.  Prayer divided the Red Sea.  (Ex. 14:22)  The same prayer reunited the sea swallowing up the entire army of Pharaoh.  (Ex. 14:28)  Prayer preserved the three children in the fiery furnace (Dan. 3)  Prayer caused the sun to stop in its course at Gideon and the moon at the field of Ayyalon.  (Josh. 10:12-13)

There is power in prayer.  It is significant with our relationship with God.

Prayer and the study of the scriptures opens our eyes to see the greater way of life that God intends us to have.  There are things that God wants to speak to us concerning our relationship with him.  We are told to pursue God with all of our heart, mind, and soul.  It's seeking God in stillness.  The contemplation of heavenly things.  Praying unceasingly.  It's meditating inwardly and praying, not letting your mind be idle.  We need to meditate on prayers and psalms.  It's necessary to keep watch in our hearts so that it does not give admittance to thoughts that are not of God.  This all relates to the scripture:  Pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17).  May we then grasp the hidden powers that are in the scriptures.  There is power in his word, power in prayer.  God gives us the impossible being possible through grace to search out the things that are in heaven.  Prayer unites us with God.
It's being one with him.  The heart and mind attached completely to God.  Praying which surpasses all impossibilities, comes into the spritual realm bringing into existence the earthly.  We know that Daniel prayed three times a day when great danger threatened him.  (Dan. 6:13).  Such wonders that prayer have brought about.
Remember the sayings of Jesus: "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to the father which is in secret and thy father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." (Matt. 6:6).  I believe prayer brings peace in our lives.  It's communicating with the father.  He is our provider, deliverer and savior.  It's the peace of God through prayer that will keep our hearts and minds.  "And the peace of God which passeth all understanding."
(Phil. 4:7).  Peace within us is an important part of our lives.  King Solomon's throne was built upon peace.
"I exhort therefore, that first of all, supplications, prayer, intercessions, and giving thanks be made for all men." (Tim. 2:1).  This scripture indicates the kind of prayers that can be used for our relationship with God.  We need to recognize these kind of prayers and apply them according to the necessary guidance of the Lord.  These four types of prayers offer opportunities for a richer way of life.  I leave you with this scripture.  "But ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost."  (Jude 20).
