"Love in the Spirit"
When we speak of love, are we more aware of our surroundings? Is it a strange question? Not necessarily. There is a power in love. We know that God is love. He put it within us. There are countless books about different kinds of love. But there is a love that God is speaking about, love in the spirit.
(Col. 1:8) This love in the spirit gives us a broader perspective of how great it really is. Love in the spirit is the communion of the Holy Spirit.
Love in the spirit is any fellowship of the spirit of God. Love in the spirit is to be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Listen to this, “That ye might walk worthy of the lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of god; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the father which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light” (Col. 1:10-12).
Wow! That’s all love in the spirit. There’s more! “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible god, the firstborn of every creature” (Col. 1:13-15).
That’s a lot of revelation! But, that’s the Holy Spirit. Love in the spirit of god. Who is the image of the invisible god? We need to decrease and God needs to increase in our life. Like Eph. 4:22, 23 states, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts: and be renewed in the spirit of your mind”. Imagine love in the spirit, we will receive spiritual understanding. Think about the teachings that will be revealed in us. We are talking about spiritual realm revelation. Bringing people to Christ, by breaking the forces of darkness.
Think about being filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom. Such a vast concept of what God can do with us. Our vessel, being used for his glory. Being used to set others free. The teaching of the Holy Spirit. God has so much for us. But we limit him. God is an awesome God. So, let him be awesome in our life. Each one of us is special in god’s own eyes. Each one of us has a purpose.
Don’t let the enemy rob you of your purpose to be used by God. So, what do we need to do! “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Mat. 6:33). Remember, love in the spirit is the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost. If you continue to do that, God will reveal to you many things. May the lord bless you and may you be forever his.
