Certainly we are entering into troubled times. The Dow Jones in a free fall hopefully finding some stability. The decisions that will be made and the changes that will come to turn our economy around, will be of the most importance for our country. Our society is being demoralized of what God has put in place. Good morals and virtue is of God. If they deteriorated what then. Are we approaching the times of Godlessness? The world wide catastrophic events such as, earth quakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis with thousands of people dying. The military fighting overseas for the freedom of our country. Are these the signs of the coming of the Lord? Even though, we need to continue with our everyday lives, we cannot ignore these events that are happening before us. Hebrews 11:7 Lets us know, "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house ; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." I do believe, just as Noah, God does warn his people from things that will comes into existance. Like Noah, the scripture states,"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet!! In the days of Noah the scriptures gives us an ideal of how it was back in those days. Matt 24:38 says,"For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark," In Genesis 6:12-13 it states; "And God looked upon the earth and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me: for the earth is filled with violence through them;" We can take a more indepth look of how it was in Noah's day. Lets look at Genesis 6:5 which says, back in the days of Noah. It states, "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." There are things that are happening now, that can not be determine what the future will bring. We can speculate. But God knows the true out come. The bible says, by faith Noah moved with fear and prepared an ark to the saving of his household. Noah had the fear of God in him. In Genesis 6:8-9 it says, "But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. ....Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God." People, we can still do this today. That is, to walk with God. Walking with God is more than just and off an on conversation. Its sharing our most inner thoughts with God. It is in Christ Jesus that we have the most intimate relationship with God. Noah recieved specific instructions on how to build the ark. Its walking with God in such away that we can hear him as Noah did and do what God intructs us. Genesis 6:22 says, "Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he." Like Noah, our ark is in God. He is our provider, protector in the times that we are living in today. Your answers are in God. He is your ark . We are to dwell in the secret place of the most high. In Proverbs 4:13 it says,"Take hold fast of instruction; let her not go; keep her; for she is thy life." It is by faith that we even seek God. It is by faith that we hear him. It is by faith we do what God instructs us. I believe Noah understood the value of God's word. He did all that God commanded him. Remember, it was by faith. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generation and he walked with God. How do you think Noah aquired these attributes? It was all by faith in God. He had to stregthen his faith , by meditating and trusting in God. Imagine Noah building this mamoth of a ark, the years that went by, the ridicule he heard and the rain that did not come. Inspite of all that, Noah endured until the day it rained from God. "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch." [ Mark 13:32-33,35-37 ] KJV This is a Voice Ministries message. Febuary 2009 The Burning Bush |
