    "As A Tree"

        Jeremiah 17:7-8 states:
      “Blessed is the man that trusted in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”

      “For he shall be as a tree; planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots, by the rivers and shall not see when heat cometh but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”

      GOD is so good. His mercy and kindness are always there. He speaks life into us, “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord.” Trusting God is the first step. It’s a mind set. It’s a belief, it’s a knowing. Without knowing God, there is no life in life. God is all-knowing. God wants us to enjoy life with him. He loves you. You are his creation. Life at its best is in God. So, when he says, blessed is the man that trusts me, we shall say, yes Lord, alright Lord, thank you Lord. AAAH! That’s trust. Then trust evolves into love. Do you know God controls everything? So let’s trust him.
      So, that’s where we come to the next verse, Jer 17:8: “For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters.” Trust is evolving; it’s growing, as a tree. What are we drinking? Living waters, his word in us. We grow to a mature state of mind (Christ-Like), planted by the waters of the living God.
      Let’s go on; “And spreadeth out her roots, by the rivers.” So, if we are spreading our roots, we are digging deep in God. Holding, trusting and hoping in God. The rivers of God’s word flow in us, as we follow him.
      Now listen to the next part of the verse. Here comes our blessing. “And shall not see when the heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
      Can you see the blessings of trusting God in this verse? You need to believe it, though. Let’s look at them. Let the Holy Spirit teach you.
          1. “And shall not see when the heat cometh.
          2. But her leaf shall be green;
          3. And shall not be careful in the year of drought.
          4. Neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”
      Wow! Can you see that? Doesn’t it break your heart? God is so good. What a revelation! Can you see, being occupied by God, maturity, strength, protection, spiritual and physical blessings.
      Let’s pray. I thank you, Holy Spirit, Lord, for showing me your love for me, teaching me, guiding me into your presence of understanding; giving me the peace. I thank you Lord God with all my heart. Amen.
      In times of trouble, let’s go to God for his guidance. He is always faithful, as long as we are searching for him.
      May the Lord bless you and keep you. Remember, “The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” (Lam. 3:25)
