Angels

          Let me start by saying this quote. Saint Augustine said; "Every visible thing in this world is put under the charge of an angel." The word angel is derived from the greek word,angelos. Angelos meaning messengers. Angels are servants of God. They are considered purely spiritual but individual entities that possess understanding and free will. They are of the male and female gendre. Angels are mediators. They carry your prayers to the source (God) then transmit divine guidance back to you. They are messengers between you to God.                                                                    There are 9 orders of the celestial hierarchy, according to Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite [Acts17:34] also Thomas Aquinas in Summa Theologica.    1.Seraphim    2.Cherubim   3.Thrones          4.Dominations  5.Virtues  6.Powers  7.Principalities  8.Archangels  9.Angels  [Eph3:10] says; " To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God."  Each order of this celestial hierarchy has a particular task or office of operation assigned to them by God.                                                                                    There are angels mentioned in many parts of the bible. But,       their are only two mentioned by name,Michael and Gabriel. Angels were given the task of looking after and protecting people. In [Psalms 91:11-12] we are told; "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone." These are our guardian angels. In the bible there is a warning not to worship angels [Col 2:18]. We are only to worship God. But certainly they do exist for God's purpose. They have and important relationship with God, as messangers for him. They are the, " Sons of Light." Try doing your own research on angels. Let the holy spirit teach you the mysteries from God's heavenly throne. Be still and let God be the Lord of your life.
